Excellent customer service and advice

This year I had the opportunity to make the switch from plastic, petroleum-based paint and varnish to quality, sustainable, consistent, and more historically accurate products, thanks to Sage Restoration. Our restoration team at California State Parks have restored windows at the Leland Stanford Mansion, windows at a historic railyards building, built a historically recreated sign, along with other projects using their purified linseed oils, paints, glazing putty and infrared paint removers. We have not only had the chance to use these products but have benefitted from the excellent customer service and advice given when consulting with them when making this transition. It is great to share this resource when I teach trade classes with other California State Parks employees. With the help of Sage restoration, we feel like better stewards of our historic buildings.

Love every product that I have tried

Love every product that I have tried. It has been a wonderful line of products for our 1840s home both interior and exterior. Love the natural smell and compatibility of paint prime and putty. Now our home has the proper restoration that will last so much longer than hardware store paint or tacky siding. Thank you for supplying such a great product.

Blown away

I have been blown away by both the customer service (Sage has answered every question through phone or email with a detailed and helpful answer) and the products they carry. I have purchased a variety of products to start learning about how use them properly and different applications. I had an order show up incorrect and they went above and beyond to make it right.

The products are very high quality combined with their technical knowledge helps someone learning how use these unbelievable materials made me want to take a chance on buying and using them.

I am very satisfied and will continue to use and learn.

My go-to for linseed oil paints, soaps, and accessores

Sage Restoration is my go to for linseed oil paints, oils, soaps, and accessories. They have everything I need and more. I have been scraping and repainting my 1914 bungalow for five years, it’s a long slow process. They are the only place where I can buy the complete line of Allback paint products, my preferred brand. The shipping costs are a bit less than the other east coast retailers; it’s expensive to ship paint to California. The people at Sage have always answered my questions promptly.

Absolutely love Allback Linseed Oil paint!

I am a customer and an window restoration specialist.

I absolutely love Allback Linseed Oil paint! It is so smooth and rich and paints on like buttery cream. It is also the best choice for the beautiful 100+ yr. old wood window preservation.

The Spotheater SH1000 Infrared Paint Remover has enabled me to strip multiple layers of paint from my heritage windows in record time and without risk of burns. I am able to easily move the heater to various angles, protecting the antique glass panes from cracking. I am so happy with this paint remover providing quiet, quick and clean results.

Allbäck Purified Raw Linseed Oil is the best product to season and condition the first growth wood in my heritage wood window panes. I recently restored 250 year old windows and used this product to draw out the rich grain of these windows. Beautiful and reliable product.
