Technical Details

Binder : Boiled, cold-pressed, cleaned, and sterilized linseed oil from Sweden.
Pigment : Iron oxide, Chalk.
Drier : Manganese Siccative.
Thinning : If necessary, thin with max. 5% Allbäck Purified Boiled Linseed Oil.
Dry matter : 100% by volume. Nothing evaporates from the paint.
VOCs : <5mg / L, natural oil only.
Application : Stir well. Apply thin coats with a stiff brush.
Coverage : 15 - 20 m² per litre (161 - 215 sqft per litre), depending on the substrate.
Cleaning : Allbäck Linseed Soap and water. Rinse well and allow to dry. Store brushes hanging in Allbäck Purified Raw Linseed Oil.
Drying time : Approximately 24 hours at room temperature, with good ventilation and low humidity.

Great product -- looking forward to getting started!

I am very impressed with the products, though I have only used the test pots thus far. I'm particularly impressed with, and appreciative of the knowledgable people at Sage Restoration who generously share their extensive knowledge of their linseed oil product. They have gone above and beyond by providing detailed responses to my many questions. They are clearly dedicated to the art and craft of producing a great product.

Great product

I have now used both the pine tar and linseed oil paint products. Both are very easy to use and provide great coverage over bare wood. I will definitely use them again on future projects that will be exposed to the weather.
