Technical Details
Binder : Boiled, cold-pressed, cleaned, and sterilized linseed oil from Sweden.
Pigment : Iron oxide, Chalk.
Drier : Manganese Siccative.
Thinning : If necessary, thin with max. 5% Allbäck Purified Boiled Linseed Oil.
Dry matter : 100% by volume. Nothing evaporates from the paint.
VOCs : <5mg / L, natural oil only.
Application : Stir well. Apply thin coats with a stiff brush.
Coverage : 15 - 20 m² per litre (161 - 215 sqft per litre), depending on the substrate.
Cleaning : Allbäck Linseed Soap and water. Rinse well and allow to dry. Store brushes hanging in Allbäck Purified Raw Linseed Oil.
Drying time : Approximately 24 hours at room temperature, with good ventilation and low humidity.

Even alone in the workshop as I was putting on the second coat I couldn't repress the urge to almost yell « c'est magnifique ! », it's magnificent in french. I was unsure of the mixing proportion at first, considering an exterior project but the zinc oxide brought an off-white tone even clearer and deeper. As a beginner woodworker this will live long in my memory as it will be coating my first garden door fully handmade with pieces from the house we are currently restoring completely. After a year of bad surprises during the process this paint not only is the best by far I've used but it brought me solace that the twice century old wood would be protected for a long time to come, naturally, as it should be. We went drafting deep into the night to go biking to the forge lent to us by a good friend and the hinges will amount surely to the quality of this paint. Honestly, thank you for providing us such quality alternative among the plethora of toxic and synthetic competitor. I'm not one for writing review usually, but it is well deserved !

I used this paint for the interior of my chicken coop, and I was pleasantly surprised by how far it went—a little really does go a long way. The texture is quite unique: it feels runny yet thick at the same time, which took a bit of getting used to. It does take a long time to dry, but the finish is absolutely beautiful once it sets. One of the biggest perks for me was the incredibly low odor—such a welcome change from the strong-smelling paints I’ve used in the past.
At one point, one of my chickens jumped onto a freshly painted panel and ended up with paint all over her. Normally, I would’ve panicked, worried about harsh chemicals, but knowing this was a natural, non-toxic product gave me peace of mind. She’s perfectly fine—and so is the coop!
