Custom drill bit designed by Scandinavian WindowCraft for removing embedded screws and nails in wood.
Most hollow screw extractors are closed cylinders, making it difficult to remove the wood and metal debris that was taken out. The clever slit running down the length of this tool allows the entire bit to vibrate, increasing its drilling efficiency, and it also provides easy access for cleaning the bit out so that it can be reused again and again.
How to use
- Securely tighten the Extractor into the chuck of a drill to prevent slipping.
- Drill around the embedded screw or nail along its entire depth so that it is captured in the hollow of the extractor.
- Pull the Extractor back and remove it from the drill. Take care, as it may be hot.
- Once cool, use a narrow tool to clear the Extractor.
