Allbäck Linseed Oil Stove Blacking Fireplace Paste
Description
Allbäck Stove Blacking Fireplace Paste is a solvent-free paste made from linseed oil, beeswax, and graphite pigment. It can be used on surfaces that become very hot, as the graphite pigment is very resistant to extreme heat and remains black regardless of the temperature.
While it is not a high-temperature coating in the conventional sense, Allbäck's Stove Blacking is great for protecting metal surfaces from rust, and it does best on slightly rough and porous metals, such as cast iron. The surface can be maintained easily over time by cleaning it off and applying more Stove Blacking.
Coverage
- 200 mL container approximately 2-4 m² (22-44 SQFT) depending on the porosity and texture of the metal surface.
Application
- Brush off loose rust.
- Apply with a brush, cloth, or sponge.
- Wipe with a soft cloth.
- Carefully light your first fire!
