Like anything that has become a standard, this original Speedheater model has stood the test of time. It has been developed, patented, and used in Scandinavia and around the world for almost 40 years to easily, effectively, and safely remove old paint, varnish, and glue from all kinds of surfaces.
The Speedheater Standard uses infrared heat to soften old paint in just 20 to 30 seconds under its large heating area. The process breaks the bond between multiple coats of paint and the underlying surface below, but without creating dangerous lead fumes. The gentle infrared heat greatly reduces the risk of damaging the wood underneath.
With the Angle Support Bar included, you can lock in the position of the tool to direct the heat and work hands-free, scraping one area while you heat another.
With scrapers also included, the Speedheater Standard IR Paint Remover kit gives you everything you need to get started right away.
