A note on colour
As with all paint, the actual colour that presents on the swatch may be slightly different than the way the paint presents on the surface. This can be due to a number of factors, including absorption, sheen, light conditions, and the age of the painted surface.
Linseed oil can yellow when it is not exposed to full spectrum UV light and, this can influence the colour of the paint, especially with the lighter shades.
Best to test
For greatest colour accuracy on a particular surface, it can be most representative to do a test with the actual linseed oil paint.
Game changing! What a wonderful experience. I had a couple of very worn outdoor wooden doors, definitely needing a makeover, and I was so sure that I would have to remove all the old paint and sand. This paint is so forgiving,! The door looks fantastic, and I had to do very little prep before painting. Highly. Highly recommend.
This paint is by far the easiest and most fun to apply, if you enjoy doing paint jobs with a brush. I am always amazed at how much it covers, 3 L can take you a long way. I've painted the entire house 8 years ago and it took as litte as 4 x 3 L, for 3 coats on old masonite that was first scraped, then thoroughly cleaned with linseed oil soap and prepped with linseed oil. It holds very very well. I'm planning on resurfacing with linseed oil next year, but I could easily afford to wait another couple of years. Given how long it lasts and how little it takes, this compares in costs to any other quality brand. Fun is extra ! I'm not a fan of leaving comments, but this product and this team deserve it. I don’t usually write reviews. This paint is amazing. Second year using it on very dry wood in bad condition on an old cottage. The transformation is spectacular, now the cottage is much stronger and will last longer. It DOES NOT PEEL OR CRACK. It makes the wood hard and shiny. The trick, with old wood, is to use lots of boiled linseed oil as a primer (they say to use raw linseed oil first, but I didn’t have that, so boiled it was). Fun to use, smells great, covers a lot, VERY SATURATED COLORS (I used old red). Could not be happier. They found a customer for life.
Like the color. The paint seemed a bit thicker than the oyster green. Some dye color on the cedar, pretreated with linseed oil, was able to rub off when dry. Not sure if that was a paint or wood issue. The paint was not so thick it crinkled. Would definitely use again for more projects.
Shade of green gray. Nice light color. Dried nicely and looks nice
