Every project we publish becomes part of a growing record - real work by real people, using materials made to last. Yours stays there. Years from now, someone working on a similar project will find it.
We're interested in the full journey, not just the finished result. If you're a few months into something that'll take a couple of years, submit what you have now - and send us updates as it progresses. We can follow the work from start to finish.
The Sage team review every submission personally. No form letters. If your project is a strong fit, we'll write it up and reach out if we have questions.

Annual recognition for the work that stands out
Each December, the Sage team selects Editor's Picks from the year's published projects - one standout in each of six categories. In January, those six projects go to a public Reader's Choice vote for Restoration of the Year.

You don't need professional photos. You don't need a finished project. You don't need to be a contractor.
If you've spent four years slowly restoring a 1910 farmhouse, that story is worth telling. If you just finished refinishing a single piece of furniture last weekend, that's worth telling too.

FAQ
Most submission questions come down to the same few things - photo quality, project status, and what counts as a "Sage project." We've answered the most common ones here. If yours isn't here, send us a message through our contact page.
Do I need professional photos?
No. Phone photos taken in decent light are completely fine. Clear shots of the before, during, and after are more useful than anything polished.
Does my project have to be finished?
No. You can submit a project in progress and send updates as it moves along. We're interested in the journey, not just the result.
What happens to my photos and information?
By submitting, you're giving us permission to feature your project on sagerestoration.com and in our email newsletter. We'll always credit you the way you prefer - by name, business name, or anonymously. We will never sell your information or use it outside Sage's own channels.
How long does it take to hear back?
We review submissions regularly and aim to respond within two weeks. If your project is a strong fit, we'll be in touch before publishing.
Can I submit more than one project?
Yes. If you've done multiple projects with Sage products, submit them separately - each gets its own review.
Which Sage products do I need to have used?
Any of them. Linseed paint, pine tar, glazing putty, building lime, Speedheater, D/2 - if it came from Sage, it qualifies. One product is enough.
Can I submit on behalf of a client?
Yes, with their permission. Note in the form whose project it is and how you'd like it credited.
